Locations

The first Baumscheibe was produced for the Euroga 2002+ „Kunstwege“ in Wülfrath and installed on 06. May 2003.

The 2nd Regional Festival “EUROGA 2002+” presents the sustainable art project “Kunstwege” (Art Ways) in the German-Dutch border region, with the participation of 38 towns and villages. The result is an itinerary of artistic interventions related to the chosen locations and engaging in a dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Since May 2002, these art objects are linked by a “relay race” of coordinated actions in the respective locations. In this context, the artist Ute Reeh from Düsseldorf realizes her first Baumscheibe in the village of Wülfrath.
